Television Appearences


Yash Dasgupta’s first television appearance was in the show called Koi Aane Ko Hai. It was a TV series based on short stories on supernatural incidences, produced by Balaji Telefilms which was aired on Colors TV in 2009.

Then came Basera with Sagar Arts, where he played the character of Ketan Sanghvi. It was this character that made him popular and brought Yash Dasgupta into the limelight in 2009.

Between 2009 and 2011, he appeared in Bandini produced by Balaji Telefilms. Yash played the role of Suraj Dharamraj Mahiyavanshi, a fun loving youngest son of Ronit Roy. The flamboyance, groovy song and dance sequences and attitude portrayed by Suraj captured the hearts of audiences with a number of hit episodes still popular on YouTube.

He also worked in Na Aana Is Des Laado produced by Shakuntalam telefilms and aired on Colors TV between 2009 and 2012. In the story, which dealt with the social evil of female infanticide and problems faced by women in a male-dominated world, Yash Dasgupta played the role of Karan – a very rustic character of ‘the boy next door’ willing to help the lady in trouble.

In 2012, Yash Dasgupta appeared in episodes of the courtroom drama Adaalat produced by Contiloe Telefilms, aired on Sony Entertainment TV. He played the character of a mime artist, Sikandar Khan, wrongly accused of a murder.

Yash Dasgupta has also appeared in a mythological character of demon Kalketu, in an episode of Imagine TV’s popular serial Mahima Shani Dev Ki in 2012

Since 2013, Yash Dasgupta is playing the highly acclaimed role of business tycoon, Aranya Singha Roy in a Bengali TV series Bojhena Shey Bojhena produced by SriVenkatesh Films and aired on Star Jalsha.
